What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of energy healing. Its origins are from India and the East. The original name was lost due to the traditional method of word of mouth teaching passed down from generation to generation. We do know that it was rediscovered by a Japanese monk named Dr. Mikao Usui. Dr. Usui is who came up with the name of Rei - universal life force, Ki - energy. Now we have come to say Reiki, universal life force energy.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Why would I want to have a Reiki Session?
We have chakras throughout our body. What are chakras? Chakras are energy locations that are spinning like a wheel. As we go about our day to day lifestyles we experience situations that we allow our chakras to experience. As we experience life our chakras can become unbalanced spinning wheels creating dis-ease, or blocked energy flow. Reiki energy helps to realign or balance the chakras "the energy spinning wheels".
How does Reiki work?
A full Reiki treatment reopens the chakras and re-balances the flow of the universal life force energy within the body. With Reiki the mind body and spirit become in harmony.
How does it feel to have a Reiki Session?
Reiki is a noninvasive way of treating the body to enhance its natural state of balance. Known for being extremely soothing, relaxing an relieving of pain and stress. These are just some of the many healing benefits of Reiki.
How will I feel after I have had a Reiki Session?
Due to our ability to determine when, where and what we want to be healed from is all up to the individual.
How many Reiki sessions should I have?
It is truly up to the individual as to how many Reiki sessions they wish to receive.
Do I need to be touched to have a Reiki Session?
You do not have to be touched to have a Reiki Session.
Can Reiki be done long distance?
Yes.
Reiki for children.
Reiki for children is done a bit differently than from an adult. What is done differently for a child is a parent or guardian needs to be present at all times.
Is it OK as a Christian to receive a Reiki treatment?
I am asked this the most. Many even myself included had thought that it was similar to the term "Laying-of hands" which is a Christian concept of the Holy Spirit being present when the "Laying-of hands" transpires. The Holy Spirit for those of you who aren't Christian is part of the third in the Trinity: Father-God, Son-Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit. Reiki is not this at all. Rei means universal and ki means life force energy. So Universal life force energy is used in this Healing Treatment not the Holy Spirit. Definitely not the same.
So if you wanted "Laying-of hands" done in which the Holy Spirit comes to your aid to help with what you are requesting then you would go to someone who does "Laying-of hands". Reiki is non-denominational meaning it can be done to all no matter what belief system you call yours.
I hope this helps clear up the question as well as any of your concerns.
*Reiki sessions are not to replace conventional medical diagnosis or treatment.
